The Google Office Suite is useful for many use cases. You can quickly and easily make presentations with Google Slides. You can write papers with Google Docs.
There doesn't seem to be a landing page for learning about the suite, so I'll link to Wikipedia's article on Google Docs Editors. It should have a landing page; a good landing page can quickly give someone an overview of a product.
I don't use LibreOffice too much, because I usually reach for the Google Office Suite. However, Google doesn't have an alternative to MS Access. I was happy to see that LibreOffice has an alternative to MS Access. I hope you find LibreOffice Base to be useful.
I've heard that some companies host their videos on Vimeo rather than YouTube because they feel that YouTube's interface isn't a good fit with their branding. Unfortunately, Vimeo has a tendency to disconnect and be unstable.
Sendvid is a simple, free video host that I've heard of. I haven't used it yet, but I have used their other service Imgbox (an image hosting website) which I've found reliable and useful.
Though Smashing Magazine is mostly about web development, they also have many articles about UI/UX design. UI/UX design is closely tied to design thinking. You might enjoy reading their articles.
Many non-profit organizations stick to paper records because they don't have the budget to transition to digital.
Paper records are like open source software in that anyone can use them without needing to pay for a subscription, or worry about a company shutting down their service. In order for every organization in the world to switch to digital, there needs to be a suite of open source software that can fulfill all their transitional, record-keeping, and data entry needs; only open source software can compete with the ease of paper.
